Chania Film Festival's summer exhibitions continue through August 30

The Chania Film Festival’s annual summer exhibitions continue through August 30 at the Megalo Arsenali in Chania’s Venetian Harbour, organizers said.

The exhibitions are part of the pre-festival and parallel activities of the Chania Film Festival, which presents them again this year as part of its regular program.

Two exhibitions on display

One exhibition features more than 50 film cameras dating from 1890 to the present, tracing the technical evolution of cinema through the equipment itself.

The second exhibition presents around 200 record covers that highlight the visual and artistic dimension of vinyl albums.

Organizers described the pair of exhibitions as a creative dialogue between images, machines and visitors, staged in the heart of summer at the Venetian Harbour. The events are held with the support of the Region of Crete, the Municipalities of Chania and Platanias, and the Chania Cultural Center.
