Caldera Group to hold first charity color festival in Chania’s Gerani on September 9

Caldera Group has announced the first edition of “CALDERA BOOM – Colors of Hope,” a charity event the company says it hopes will become an annual fixture in Crete. The festival will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Gerani, Chania, according to the organizers.

Under the slogan “A festival of colors, a gesture of love,” the event is designed to bring together residents, visitors, businesses and organizations, Caldera Group said. Attendees are expected to take part in a program built around music, color throws and other activities, with participation, optimism and giving as its central themes.

Entry is priced at 5 euros, and organizers are asking all participants to wear white clothing so they become part of the colorful scene created during the event. Those interested in taking part can register online through the form provided by the organizers.

Proceeds to support charitable organizations

According to Caldera Group, all proceeds from the event will go toward supporting organizations engaged in social and environmental work, though the company did not name specific recipients in its announcement. The festival is one of several events in Crete planned for early September, alongside other cultural gatherings such as the Symposium International dance festival taking place the same week in Heraklion and Chania.

Caldera Group describes CALDERA BOOM – Colors of Hope as more than a color festival, saying it grew out of the belief that tourism can return value to the local community and contribute to a better future.
