Agios Nikolaos launches new "Green Mission" recycling campaign with tablet as prize

The Municipality of Agios Nikolaos has launched a new “Green Mission” environmental awareness campaign through its Followgreen recycling rewards platform, offering a tablet computer as a prize to participants, the municipality said.

According to the municipality, the initiative is part of an ongoing effort to raise public awareness about environmental protection through Followgreen, a municipal platform that rewards residents for recycling.

Campaign focuses on food waste

The current mission, titled “The journey of food,” aims to inform residents about what lies behind the production, transport and consumption of food, and why reducing food waste matters, the municipality said. It also seeks to show how everyday choices can help conserve natural resources, cut waste and protect the environment.

“From the field to our table, every piece of food has its own journey and deserves not to end up as waste,” the municipality said in its announcement.

How to participate

Residents can take part by visiting the Followgreen link for the current mission and completing all required steps. Participants who successfully finish the mission and register for the draw will be eligible to win a Lenovo Idea Tab Plus 12.1-inch tablet with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, plus a stylus pen, in Cloud Grey.

The municipality said a new “Green Mission” is made available to residents each month, combining environmental education with prize incentives tied to recycling.

Terms of the prize draw

Under the stated terms, the winner will be selected through an electronic random-number draw. The prize will be shipped by courier once the winner’s identity has been verified. A valid entry requires that the participant has completed all the objectives of the Green Mission, the municipality said.
