Decide which climb you are buying. Upper suites take the postcard view and lean hardest on the buggies; lower rows shorten the beach walk and hear more of the evening. The pool categories sidestep the sunbed race entirely, which on this site is worth real money, and light sleepers should ask for a suite away from shared walls, the file’s specific complaint.
The beach, the rooftop and the board plans
The beach is the private strip at the amphitheatre’s base, served by its bar and the shuttle system, with the afternoon shade line worth knowing before staking a lounger. The rooftop pool answers it from the top of the site.
Food runs in tiers: the buffet carries the volume with quality that swings, the a la carte venues, Asian and island tables among them, lift the evenings, the Grab and Go covers the hours between, and Cool Living guests get Greco Levante to themselves. The open-air cinema and Soma Spa round the day, and Elounda village sits minutes down the road when the wristband palls.

Domes Aulus is Elounda’s entry ticket, and we mean that respectfully: the same bay the palaces charge four figures for, the same islet view, the Domes design language and a Hilton flag, at all-inclusive package prices. The 2022 rebuild of the old Elounda Blu spent its money where photographs are taken, the rooftop, the cliff pools, the suite terraces, and honeymooners on a budget have voted it their Elounda ever since.
The amphitheatre is both the product and the tax. Nothing on the site is flat, the grades hit 20 percent, and the golf-buggy system that makes it livable becomes the resort’s queue at peak hours, which guests with mobility limits should read as disqualifying. The buffet is the other honest weakness: at its best merely fine, at its worst the file’s word is repetitive, with the a la carte rooms doing the rescuing.
Rooms at 4.0 and value at 4.1 price those facts in, and we weight them against what 8.8 on Booking says the average week still feels like: sunset on a terrace over Spinalonga with nothing left to pay for. That equation is exactly what the Aulus brand was built to sell.
Book Domes Aulus as the view-first all-inclusive it is: a pool-category or upper Zen suite, half board if you plan village tavernas, the full wristband if you plan none, and June or September when the hill is kindest. Elounda’s front row was never this reachable before.
