Showers and storms forecast for Crete on Wednesday, September 16

Unsettled weather is expected across Crete on Wednesday, September 16, with passing clouds, showers and isolated storms forecast during the day, according to the national weather service.

Several areas of the island are expected to see brief showers, while storms cannot be ruled out in some locations, giving the day an autumn-like character. The unsettled pattern follows a stretch of autumn-like clouds and local rain already forecast for the region earlier in the week.

Winds will blow from northerly directions at 4 to 5 Beaufort, reaching 6 Beaufort in some areas, forecasters said.

Temperatures are expected to range from 20 to 29 degrees Celsius, noticeably lower than in previous days.

Conditions are forecast to ease somewhat the following day, with clearer skies and highs of 30°C expected on Thursday, according to the weather service.
