Crete expects sunny skies with scattered afternoon cloud, EMY forecasts for Wednesday

Crete can expect mostly sunny weather on Wednesday, October 7, according to the forecast issued by the National Meteorological Service (EMY). Scattered clouds are expected to build from midday, becoming denser overnight over the Ionian Sea.
Visibility is forecast to be locally reduced in the morning in western areas, EMY said.
Winds are expected to blow from the south at 2 to 4 Beaufort in western areas, and from the north at 3 to 5 Beaufort in the east, according to the forecast.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly. EMY’s national forecast puts highs at 24 to 26 degrees Celsius over the Ionian Sea, the Dodecanese and the nearby mainland, locally reaching 27 degrees in western and southern mainland areas, with 22 to 25 degrees elsewhere across the islands.
The forecast comes after a period of severe storms across Crete that left saturated ground in several areas. Readers planning outdoor activities can check current conditions via the Experiences in Crete section for updates on affected sites.
