Crete faces morning rain Thursday before conditions improve, weather service says

Rain is expected to persist over Crete on Thursday, September 17, mainly during the morning hours, before conditions improve quickly, according to the forecast issued by Greece’s National Weather Service (EMY).
EMY said the island will see intermittent cloudiness, with any morning showers expected to be localized and short-lived rather than widespread or prolonged.
Winds will blow from the north at a force of 4 to 6 Beaufort, the forecast added.
Temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 28-29 degrees Celsius across the island.
The forecast follows a stretch of unsettled autumn weather that has already brought rain and scattered storms to Crete in recent days.
