Keratides is located about 1km west of Paleochora harbour, 79km south of Chania city, just after the exit of the Azogirianos river and the beach Halikia. It has coarse pebbles and stones and is preferred by those who seek peace and avoid crowds. It takes its name after keratia, i.e. locust (carob) trees. The area hosts one camping site and the beach is mainly favoured by the guests of this camping.
With so many amazing beaches around Paleochora, Keratides are not something too special. However, if you do not have a car or motorbike, then they are a good choice.
