Chania to hold fifth annual White Night on August 25

The Chania Chamber of Commerce and the Chania Commercial Association, together with the Region of Crete, will organize the fifth “White Night of Chania” on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, running from early afternoon until 11:30 p.m., the organizers announced.
The event invites residents and visitors to shop at local businesses, which will offer discounts and special promotions throughout the evening. Several hospitality, food and beverage businesses in Chania are sponsoring the event and will offer complimentary food and drink samples to visitors.
Alongside the shopping activities, the city’s commercial center will host hours of music and entertainment, including performances by DJs and music producers, a soap bubble show, aerial dancing, and mascots for children and adults. The evening will conclude with a main concert by singer Kostis Maravegias at Plateia 1866, with an opening performance by Dimitris Kopsis.
Organizers’ statement
In a joint statement, Antonis Rokakis, President of the Chania Chamber of Commerce, and Dora Kyriakaki, President of the Chania Commercial Association, said: “For the fifth year, we are enthusiastically inviting the people of Chania to take part once again in the White Night. After years of consistent effort, the event continues to grow and has become a strong tool of solidarity between the Chania business community and society. At the same time, we are giving visitors to our region the opportunity to enjoy themselves while purchasing our excellent products.” They also thanked the Region of Crete’s Chania office, the event’s sponsors, and staff supporting the initiative.
Entertainment locations
According to the organizers, 14 DJs and music producers will perform at various points around the city during the event. Additional planned activities include:
A soap bubble show on Halidon Street; aerial dance performances on Karaiskaki Street; face painting at the junction of Kriari and Mylonogianni streets, at the junction of Mousouron and Tsouderon streets, and on Tzanakaki Street; and Latin dance performances at the corner of Halidon, Katolas, Apokoronou and Kydonias streets. Mascots and entertainers will also move through the city during the event.
