The Military Museum of Rethymnon, located in the village of Chromonastiri, showcases a collection that includes military uniforms, weapons from various periods in Greek history, medals, historical artifacts dating back to 1821 and beyond, a special exhibit on the Macedonian Struggle, and a library and meeting rooms.

This museum is situated in Villa Clodio, one of Crete’s most beautiful Venetian mansions. The villa once served as the summer residence for Venetian rulers of Rethymnon and later became the home of a Turkish aga during the Ottoman Era.
