Zakros Multipurpose Center

Located in the Polykentro building along the main road that runs through Epanos Zakros village, the Zakros Natural History Museum is dedicated to the natural environment of the Sitia Geopark. It showcases the area’s flora, fauna, and geology through small dioramas (ecosystem reconstructions), taxidermy, posters, and displays of rocks and fossils. Visitors can access all printed materials of the Park, watch the Sitia Nature Park video, browse the park’s website, and explore the European and Global UNESCO geoparks.

During the summer, the museum provides parking and restroom facilities. In the winter months, visitors should reach out to the park’s authorities or Sitia Municipality for access.
