Achladia Minoan Mansion

Place description

In the area of Riza, near the village of Achladia within the Sitia province, a Minoan rural mansion dating from 1600 BC to 1550 BC was uncovered by the archaeological team led by Nikolaos Platon in 1952. Spanning 270 square meters, the structure comprises 12 apartments and features a primary entrance on the east side, as well as an entrance hall, kitchen, storerooms, and a possible stall.
